Sales development / Product guide

Qualify the opportunity. Keep the conversation human.

Turn your team’s first-call questions into clear, useful qualification criteria.

01

Define a useful lead

Qualification should reflect how your business sells. List the facts your team needs to decide whether to continue: the problem, business context, timing, or requirements specific to your service.

Separate essential facts from details that can wait. A long checklist can make a visitor feel they are filling in a form inside a chat.

02

Ask purposeful questions

Use plain language and a clear purpose for each qualifier. Configure questions that help uncover the need rather than asking for every detail at once.

For a service business, useful examples might include what the visitor wants to achieve and when they hope to start. These examples are not universal requirements.

03

Read the conversation too

Structured qualification information is recorded with the lead. Review it alongside the conversation, especially when an answer is ambiguous or the visitor changes their requirements.

An incomplete lead is not automatically a poor lead. It may simply need a person to ask a better next question.

04

Create a useful next step

Review contacts, opportunities, and relevant activity in the sales workspace. Decide who should continue the conversation and what they need to know.

Revisit your criteria when your offering changes or the team repeatedly needs the same missing fact. Qualification should improve the handoff rather than only add a label.

Make it work for your business.

Features depend on your connected services and tenant configuration. Ask our team about your setup.
