What Happens When a Prospect Leaves Your Website Without Enquiring?

Understand the difference between an anonymous visit and an abandoned conversation that can be followed up.

01

Start with what you actually know

A visitor who browses and leaves may never provide contact information or start a conversation. That is different from someone who chats, shares a need, and leaves before completing the next step.

Do not assume that the agent can identify or contact every visitor. An anonymous visit alone does not supply a usable contact record or permission to send a message.

02

Follow an eligible conversation

As an example, a prospect starts a chat, provides contact details, and leaves while considering an answer. If the enquiry meets your configured eligibility and consent conditions, a recovery message can offer a way to resume the conversation.

Zelvix recovery depends on the tenant’s settings, templates, stop rules, and configured email and worker services. Providing an email address is not the same as agreeing to optional follow-up.

03

Review the next step

Check the message the visitor receives and test where its links lead. The follow-up should make sense in the context of the original enquiry and stop when the configured conditions require it.

Review recoverable enquiries separately from anonymous visits. This helps your team judge the workflow using records it actually has, without implying that every missed visit becomes a sales lead.

Make it work for your business.

Features depend on your connected services and tenant configuration. Ask our team about your setup.
